On the other hand there are others who claim the mantle of the historian but are labeled “Special Pleaders” by their peers. This is true of the world about which the historian writes; it is equally true of the world in which he [sic] writes. Especially, I love those libraries with books and periodicals, in print. The summer is when I do most of the behind the scenes work on my courses for both fall and spring semesters. The worst thing one who pretends to practice the historians craft can be called is “a propagandist! While I can't say that there aren't those who do that, I would argue that re-examination and re-interpretation of histories are essential to not only the historians craft but to the public in general.
